Sanjiang Dong Minority Autonomous County is located in the north area of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bordering Guizhou to the northwest and Hunan to the northeast, and is 7 hours northwest of Guilin. In the region, Dong people are the traditional inhabitants who comprise over 50% of the county’s 300,000 inhabitants.
Sanjiang is famous for its breathtaking natural landscapes and colorful cultural Centers. Its tourism resources have been developed in recent years. You can experience the building of the Dong nationality, March the third Festival, Fireworks and Firecrackers Festival of here. The wind and rain bridge in Chengyang is the most famous attraction of Sanjiang County, and it dates from 1916. It's made of wood and stone. Across the bridge is Chenyang village, an old Dong village, surrounded by rice fields. The village consists of traditional wooden houses and a nice drum tower, next to the small village square.
